Faber-Castell Cosmetics: Joined forces

Dr. Christina Zech joined the German company Faber-Castell Cosmetics as Managing Director, effective February 1, 2015. According to the company, she holds MBA degrees in General Management and has broad experience in the cosmetics industry, as she worked as a polymer chemist, formulator and packaging specialist for over 20 years. Before joining Faber-Castell Cosmetics, she served as Vice President of Global Sales at MANA Products International and Vice President Sales and R&D at GEKA. Dr. Zech now leads the company together with Countess Mary von Faber-Castell.

Faber-Castell Cosmetics was established in 1978 and specialises in colour cosmetics and nail care, developing both standard and customised products. The company has grown into one of the leading private label cosmetic manufacturers worldwide. It has production sites in Germany and Brazil and sales organizations in 13 different countries.

In the fiscal year 2014/2015, which is ending in March, the Faber-Castell group achieved a considerable sales growth compared to last year, when sales had decreased by 4% from €590 million to €564 million.


New Spring Collection

In 2015, the Cosmetics Segment plans to continue its innovation strategy, showcasing the new Spring Collection that includes the new Mini Chubby Mechanical Pencil with two concepts: The Art of Contouring – a natural face lift in three easy steps- and Spot Fighter – an 8h lasting concealer with salicylic acid, the company states. The Cubby Mechanical Pencil application system was introduced last year alongside the airtight Combo Stick, a two-in-one pencil. The Spring Collection also contains Wonder Brow, a lightweight, pigmented gel that is applied with a bristle brush and wraps each hair in a touch of color as well as the Simply Irresistible 8-h lipliner whose high concentration of pigments ensures a rich color pay-off.
